The Floyd County Commission is expected to approve a bid from Pennant Construction for renovations to the former Glenwood school building.
The facility will become the new headquarters for the Floyd County Police Department.
The vendor submitted a bid that was responsive to the scope of work and was the lowest proposal submitted.
The contract is not to exceed $2,447,000.00.
Negotiations are currently being conducted to establish where savings are possible.
Commissioners are also expected to approve the low bid from Metro Waterproofing for $163,475 for repairs for the 6th Avenue Parking Deck and a $286,000 bid from TK Elevator Corporation for the elevator renovation at the county administration building on Fourth Avenue.
The commission meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The caucus starts at 3:30 p.m.
