Gordon County Government –
Friday afternoon Gordon County announced that Ranger Georgia has officially lost its status as a town.
According to local Representative, Matt Barton, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed the local legislation dissolving the town Charter.
The legislation was introduced into the Georgia General Assembly back in March of this year with the intent of stripping Ranger of its municipal status after repeatedly not providing basic services for citizens.
The Gordon County government website released a public notice on Friday afternoon that it will now provide government services to the community and will have crews in the area next week.
