A man was shot in the head in front of 505 Calhoun Avenue Tuesday morning a little before 11 a.m., near the intersection of Stonewall Street.
The victim is a Black man in his mid to late 30s and was struck a single time in the head.
It’s believed the man was shot on the sidewalk and stumbled into the yard.
The victim was transported to Atrium Floyd Health Hospital, his condition is unknown.
Because of this incident, Rome City Schools were briefly locked down.
