Charges have been filed in connection with a fatal wreck that occurred in October of last year on Highway 411.
According to the arrest warrants on file at the Floyd County Jail:
19-year-old Ali Anne Dyke of Cartersville lost control of her Chevy pickup truck, which traveled off the north side of the highway and crashed.
A front-seat passenger, 16-year-old Elaine Moorehead was ejected from the vehicle and was seriously injured.
Moorehead later died from those injuries at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center.
Dyke is charged with a misdemeanor count of 2nd-degree homicide by vehicle, distracted driving, failure to maintain a lane, and not wearing a seatbelt.
