National Weather Service in Peachtree City –
A cold front will move through north and central Georgia tonight through Friday morning, bringing showers and scattered thunderstorms to the area.
A few of these storms could be severe, primarily in western and northwestern Georgia.
The main threats from any strong to severe storms will be gusty winds, an isolated tornado, frequent lightning strikes, and periods of heavy rain.
A few thunderstorms will still be possible Friday morning as the frontal system exits the area but they will be isolated. Otherwise, no hazardous weather is expected from Saturday through Wednesday.
