Tickets are on sale now for the 23rd annual Night at the Movies to benefit the Exchange Club of Rome’s Family Resource Center.

The event, which is on Feb. 28 at the Historic DeSoto Theater, is presented by Relentless Chiropractic and will feature the film “The Fabelmans,” Steven Spielberg’s recent release inspired by his own childhood.

“From the trailers I have seen, it’s really a movie full of wonder and it just made me feel good the trailers,” said Tina Bartleson with the Family Resource Center. “I think it will be a wonderful movie to see. It’s very well-reviewed.”

The movie has already received countless awards including the AFI Movie of the Year, Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe Awards for Best Director, and Best Motion Picture.

Last year, the FRC served over 120 families through their in-home parenting program.

“We’re able to connect a parent aide to a family that might be feeling overwhelmed,” Bartleson said. “We teach parenting skills, along with life skills such as budgeting and stress management. We just help people have more confidence so they can provide for their children and best the best parents they can be.”

The screening is available for free to those purchasing a ticket to the Night at the Movies party.  Tickets are available for purchase online at frcrome.org or by calling 706-290-0764. Tickets are $55 per person, $100 for couples, and $45 each for groups of 10 or more tickets.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and guests will enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres and libations, courtesy of Rome’s favorite local restaurants. At 7:15 pm, patrons will move into the beautifully renovated DeSoto Theatre to enjoy the film. Night at the Movies is a Rome favorite, bringing good friends together for a great cause. Over the last 23 years, the event has raised over $315,000 for the Exchange Club Family Resource Center and its child abuse prevention programs.
