The community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Parks Hoke Park on Hardy Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Improvements made to the park with funding from 2017 SPLOST contributions as well as funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 will be celebrated.
The improvements include:
• New basketball pavilion with skylights
• New restrooms at the pavilion
• New event staging area
• Renovation of the parking lot on Nixon Avenue which includes 39 parking spots
• Lighting improvements throughout the park
• Repaired and repainted fencing
• Expanded concrete surface for special events and staging
Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m.
