Report: Woman stole bank deposits belonging to restaurant

A Rome woman is accused of stealing three bank deposits from Krystal on Turner McCall Boulevard.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

35-year-old Britni Shae Roberson took a deposit for $1,043 on Dec. 1., and another in the amount of $1,080 on Dec. 4.

 A third deposit of $1,666 was taken on Dec. 6.

 She then failed to deliver the deposits to the bank.

Roberson is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of theft by taking.

Man charged with aggravated child molestation

A Rome Man was arrested Wednesday on felony charges after police say he tried to meet up with someone he believed to be a minor for sex.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

30-year-old Ryan Bruce Brannon made contact online with a person he thought was under the age of 16 and engaged in a graphic sexual conversation.

He also asked for nude photos before driving to an undisclosed location to meet the person.

At the time of his arrest, Brannon was found with hydrocodone pills.

He is charged with aggravated child molestation, use of a computer to entice a child, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of children, and possession of a controlled substance.

Man accused of trying to meet up with ‘minor’ for sex

A 36-year-old Rome man was jailed Wednesday on charges of child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, and use of a computer to entice a child.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Richard Thomas Johnson engaged in a graphic online conversation with someone he thought was a minor and then traveled to meet the person for the purpose of engaging in sex acts.

Woman facing multiple drug charges

A Rome woman is facing drug trafficking charges following her arrest on Wednesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

40-year old Jennifer Leigh Hogue was found with more than 28 grams of methamphetamine and suspected alprazolam tablets while at her residence on Lombardy Way.

She was also found with suspected meth on Dec. 9 and Dec. 12, according to the arrest warrants.

Hogue is charged with trafficking meth, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of pills not in the original container.
