More than 100 brave souls plunged into the New Year by jumping into the chilly waters of the Cave Spring swimming pool.
The Cave Spring Polar Plunge has become a New Year’s Day Tradition.
Although the air temperature Sunday was in the upper 60s, the water was considerably colder.
After registering and filling out medical waivers, it was time to take the plunge.
Participants for a t-shirt and were treated to a traditional New Year’s meal after the plunge.
There are usually 30 to 50 participants. This year the rough estimate was possibly as many as 130.
