A Rome man was arrested on New Year’s Eve at a location on Chambers Street after allegedly holding a knife to the throat of another person.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Okechukwu Okey Ehiogu was intoxicated at the time of the assault and also resisted arrest.
He is charged with aggravated assault, public drunk, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
Rome woman arrested on felony theft warrant
A 27-year-old Rome woman is accused of taking $22,890 from a liquor store on Shorter Avenue back on Dec. 14.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Keri Ann Mullins was arrested on the felony warrant charging her with theft by taking on Friday.
Man accused of breaking into storage units
A Rome man has been arrested on multiple warrants charging him with eight counts of 2nd-degree burglary, seven counts of theft by taking and a single count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
According to the warrants:
38-year old Christopher Adam Rogers broke into several storage units located at 3810 Martha Berry Highway back in May of 2022.
