On December 10th at approximately 8:26 pm, Rome Police were dispatched to shots fired 911 call near 3 Knollwood Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male laying in the street with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported by EMS and upon arrival at the Atrium Health Floyd, he was pronounced deceased. The exact cause of death will be determined at the GBI Crime Lab with the pending autopsy. Criminal Investigators arrived and collected crime scene evidence. Police Department have arrested 20-year-old Iris Du Dennis Jr, of a Highlander Trail Rome address for murder charges in connection with the shooting incident.
