Polk Man arrested for Fleeing from Police after Stealing from vehicle

A 22-year-old Polk County man was arrested at the Polk County Jail on Monday by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office for multiple charges. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Tristan Andrew Kirk of a Cave Spring Street address in Cedartown allegedly fled from Floyd County Police back in October of this year after stealing a crossbow and a battery-powered water-bead gun from a vehicle near Callier Springs Road and Dodd Blvd.  Kirk also allegedly fled from police on foot after officers were able to pull his vehicle over.  After a search of Kirk’s vehicle, police found suspected marijuana, an open container of alcohol, and Kirk’s bank card. Kirk is being charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, driving on a suspended license, entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft, and alcohol open container violation.
