There will be joint services meeting on Tuesday to finalize the approved distribution formula for the local option sales tax.
The distribution formula must be revisited every 10 years and has taken more than six months for an agreement to be reached.
In September, it was announced that the city of Rome’s percentage would increase from 41.7% to 45.2%, Floyd County would decrease from 56.5% to 53%, and Cave Spring would stay the same at 1.8%.
The meeting will be at 2 pm at the Forum River Center in the Berry/Shorter Room.
