Floyd County Jail Records –
A 64-year-old Rome man was arrested by the Rome Police Department on Tuesday after he shoved an elderly victim.
According to Floyd Jail Records, Edgar Louis Brand of a Perkins Street address allegedly pushed his 86-year-old mother to the ground at his residence.
Rome Police stated that when they arrived at the residence, Brand attempted to forcibly avoid being arrested.
Brand is being charged with felony obstruction of an officer, felony exploitation and intimidation of an elderly adult, and Battery (family violence).
