The Rome-Floyd Joint Services Committee will get an update on Local Option Sales Tax discussions when it meets Tuesday.
Representatives from the city, county, and Cave Spring are negotiating how the sales tax revenue will be divided.
A deal must be reached by the end of August or the matter will go to an arbitration process.
State law requires the communities to renegotiate the formula every 10 years.
Other agenda items for Tuesday’s joint services committee meeting include updates regarding the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax and Banty Jones Park.
The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Sam King Room at Rome City Hall.
