The Floyd County Commission will conduct a public hearing Tuesday night regarding a rezoning request and special use permit for a special events venue planned at 125 Davis Road.
The applicant is seeking to change the zoning of the land from suburban-residential to agricultural-residential
Planning staff and the planning commission are recommending approval with conditions.
The commission is also expected to consider the approval of a roof replacement at the Floyd County Prison.
$400,000 was budgeted in the 2017 SPLOST.
The contract with Midian Roofing is for $215,650, using inmate labor.
The regular county commission meeting begins at 6 p.m.
During the caucus, which starts at 4 p.m., the commission will go into executive session to discuss personnel, litigation, and acquisition of property.
