Floyd County Police Department –
On Friday afternoon, Ga 100 north near Friday Road, was temporarily closed while crews worked to clear the road after a log truck lost control.
According to the Floyd County Police Department, the transfer trailer truck accidentally slid down an embankment causing it to spill its logs.
The driver was taken to Atrium Floyd Health to be evaluated further after being extricated by the Rome Fire Department.
