Two men accused of traveling to Floyd County for sex with a minor

A man was arrested in Floyd County Saturday after police say he traveled from his home in South Carolina to meet someone he thought was a child for sex.

According to Jail records, 39-year old Joey Danelle Rogers made contact online with someone he believed was under the age of 16 and engaged in a conversation about sex acts before asking the person to meet up.

Rogers is charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation, electronic enticement of a child, obscene internet contact with a child, and sexual exploitation of children.

Meanwhile, a man from East Dublin, Georgia was booked into the Floyd County Jail Saturday on charges of criminal attempt to commit child molestation, electronic enticement of a child, obscene internet contact with a child, and sexual exploitation of children.

According to jail records, 49-year old Mark Adams made contact with someone he believed was a minor online, asked for nude pictures, and engaged in a graphic discussion.

He then traveled to Floyd County to meet the person.

Adams was also charged with possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license.
