Floyd School’s Kindergarten Roundup underway

NEWS RELEASE

In August, Pre-K students will begin kindergarten where they will continue to grow and learn! Floyd County Schools (FCS) would like to extend an invitation to any Pre K-aged child not currently enrolled in FCS Pre K classes to participate in Kindergarten Round-Up happening now through Friday, May 13, 2022. 

Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022. Parents should contact the school prior to completing online registration if they are unsure which attendance area they reside in, or if they are wanting to apply out-of-district. 

To enroll for Kindergarten for School Year 2022-2023, parents need to do the following by Friday, May 13, 2022:

  • Complete online registration by visiting www.FloydBOE.net
  • Bring these documents to the school office:
    • TWO Proofs of Residence
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card
    • Immunization Records (DHR 3231)
    • Eye, Ear, Dental and Nutrition Screening (DHR 3300)

To apply as an out-of-district student, parents should contact the school prior to completing online registration.  They should also contact the school if they are unsure which district they reside in for school attendance.

Special Kindergarten Round-Up Day

Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from noon until 6 p.m. parents may bring their children to school to be screened for Kindergarten and complete registration.
