FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A 37-year old Rome man has been arrested on charges of 2nd-degree cruelty to children following an incident Sunday at his residence on North Avenue.
According to Floyd County Jail records, Matthew Allen Howren handed a 4-year old child a handgun.
The child then pointed the gun at his mother.
An 8-year old child was also present.
Howren was additionally charged with reckless conduct and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
