A bicyclist man who was struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday evening on Highway 53 and Brownlee Mountain Road in Gordon County has died from his injuries.
52-year-old Michael Shane Robbins of Plainville was airlifted to Erlanger with serious injuries after his bicycle was struck by what was believed to be a dump truck hauling short logs.
He died from his injuries on Tuesday.
The Georgia State Patrol is still looking for the vehicle that was involved.
It is described as possibly an older model orange cab dump truck with a black bed. That had white paint splattered on it.
