On Friday morning representatives from the South Rome Alliance, South Rome community, Rome and Floyd County officials, representatives from Goldman Sachs, and Laurel Street developers came together to hold a groundbreaking ceremonial event.
The event, which took place at 12 Pollock Street in South Rome, celebrated the new $20 million, 80-unit South Meadows mixed-income affordable housing development.
