FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A motorcyclist was arrested after fleeing from police in the West Rome area Wednesday night.
According to Floyd County Jail records, police attempted to stop the motorcycle after a check of the tag revealed 57-year old Ernest Dewayne Martin of Rome was wanted on a felony warrant.
Once stopped, Martin was found with a baggie of suspected marijuana.
He was also caught discarding a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
Once at the jail, police found more meth in the back of the patrol car.
Martin is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, drug possession, crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs and a probation violation.
