Polk Jail reports two inmates test positive for COVID, Quarantining

Polk County Sheriff’s Office –

The Polk County Jail reports that currently, two inmates have tested positive for COVID. Both inmates are housed in the same housing unit.

To attempt to mitigate the spread of the virus, their medical staff has placed H-Pod on quarantine until at least August 26th, 2021.

As a result of this quarantine, inmates may have limited access to messaging platforms and phones.

Form the Polk County Sheriff’s Office: “We understand the concern and stress that individuals may have for their loved ones, but our medical staff is working diligently to care for those impacted by this virus.

Due to HIPPA, we can not disclose the names of the individuals who have tested positive. We apologize for any inconvenience but thank you for your understanding as we all work together.”
