The Floyd County Commission will place a number of rezoning requests onto First Reading when they meet tonight.
There are three applications seeking Heavy Industrial zoning for properties on Huffaker Road, Elliot Drive north of the railroad, and Calhoun Highway.
Another item slated for First Reading is a special use permit request for mini-warehouses at 2535 Shorter Avenue.
Commissioners are also expected to accept and approve a bid from Roadside Specialties for Roadside Striping and signage on various county roads
The commission will get an update on Public Animal Welfare Services during their caucus, which begins at 4 p.m. in the caucus room on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building on 4th Avenue.
The regular meeting will follow at 6 in the community room.
