The Floyd County Board of Elections is recommending interim chief elections clerk Vanessa Waddell be named to the position permanently.
Waddell has been with the elections office for more than 20-years.
If the recommendation is approved by the Floyd County Commission, Waddell will assume the top job following the departure of Robert Brady late last year.
