FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A Rome man was arrested Friday after allegedly leading Floyd County police on a chase in the area of Old Summerville Road.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 21-year old Zykevion Zykail Zenae Lawrence was seen traveling at a high rate of speed and crossing the yellow line.
The officer attempted to stop Lawrence’s vehicle, but Lawrence sped up, passing several vehicles in a no-passing zone.
Lawrence reportedly threw a bag containing a pistol, marijuana, and his driver’s license out of the window during the pursuit.
He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, passing in a no-passing zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
