On Friday afternoon the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia and the Harbor House Child Advocacy Center held The Walk to Support Survivors in Downtown Rome on Broad Street.
The Awareness Walk, which drew a large crowd (dressed in the event’s blue shirts), is dedicated in honor of child abuse victims, sexual assault survivors, and the families in Rome and Floyd County who have been impacted.
Both organizations collaborated in an effort to honor Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
