DOT awards contract for Redmond Circle resurfacing

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for the repaving of Redmond Circle.

C.W. Matthews Contracting was the low bidder at just over $1,687,000.

The resurfacing project begins at Martha Berry and extends all the way to Shorter Avenue, which is just shy of 3.6 miles.

According to the DOT, the completion date is December 31.

The Redmond Circle project was one of 25 construction contracts that were announced statewide, totaling more than $60 million.

C.W. Matthews was also the low bidder at just over $4.2 million dollars for a 7.4-mile resurfacing project on Highway 27 in Polk County from the Haralson County Line to just north of Casion Road.
