Man died from accidental gunshot wound in Calhoun

A 41-year old man died in an accidental shooting incident in Calhoun Saturday.

According to the Calhoun Times, police responded to the parking lot of the Kroger on West Belmont Drive and found Michael Lee Rhodes with a gunshot wound to the leg.

A .380 handgun was found in the front floorboard of Rhodes’s vehicle.

It was jammed with an empty shell casing.

Rhodes was transported to AdventHealth Gordon where he died.
