FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Rome man is facing a long list of charges following a police pursuit that occurred back in September.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 29-year old Corey July intentionally struck another vehicle with his vehicle during the chase.

During the entire pursuit, July drove recklessly and erratically changed lanes while traveling up to speeds of 110 miles per hour.

July also allegedly ran red lights and stops signs, almost striking another vehicle and traveling in the center turn lane.

The pursuit began on Highway 411 at the Spring Creek Bridge and went through East Rome and then to 2nd Avenue, Turner McCall, Boulevard, and Riverside Parkway.

July is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, aggravated assault, aggressive driving, hit and run, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, running a red light, running a stop sign, improper lane change, a center lane violation, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and obstruction of officers.

The original reason police tried to stop July was for a window tint violation.
