Two Rome residents are facing charges in connection with what police say was a conspiracy to commit murder.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 29-year old Dijon Demar Roberson and 37-year old Laterra Denae Mack formulated a plan to kill another and took substantial steps toward committing the crime.

They even rented a vehicle to use in the killing and to flee.

Roberson also allegedly told a 16-year old about the plan.

He and Mack are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and 2nd-degree cruelty to children.
