Public Invited to Ribbon Cutting for SPLOST Funded Mount Berry Trail

September 23rd, 2020 – 5:30 PM

The City of Rome would like to invite the community to a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the Mount Berry Trail. The ceremony will be held at the trailhead on Wednesday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m.

The trailhead parking lot is located on Coligni Way behind the U.S. Post Office on U.S. 27.

Construction of the trail was completed in August. The trail follows the west bank of the Oostanaula River up to Big Dry Creek and spans 1.8 miles.  Spriggs Construction was contracted to complete the paving of the trail.  This trail is a joint 2013 SPLOST project between the City of Rome and TRED of Rome/Floyd County.
