Georgia gas prices trending lower

September 14, 2020–7:43 p.m.

AAA SOUTH

Georgia gas prices decreased at the pump compared to a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $2.02 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is 2 cents less than a week ago, 6 cents more than last month, and 39 cents less than this time last year.

Lower demand has helped pump prices to decline this week, and the descent will likely continue as summer fades to fall.

Local averages on Monday, according to AAA, were $1.98 in Floyd County and Bartow County, $1.97 in Gordon County, $1.99 in Polk County and $2.08 in Chattooga County.
