FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 36-year old Rome man was arrested Tuesday after police say he attempted to hijack a vehicle at knifepoint.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Joshua Keith Dunn forced his way into a woman’s hotel room on Dean Avenue with a knife, damaging the lock.

He then prevented the victim from escaping.

Once in the victim’s vehicle, Dunn allegedly stabbed the door panel with the knife.

He also reportedly jerked the wheel from the control of the driver, causing a wreck with a parked vehicle.

Dunn then left the scene.

All this was done in violation of a TPO, ordering Dunn to have no contact with the victim.

Dunn is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, 1st-degree burglary, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, hijacking a motor vehicle, false imprisonment, criminal trespass, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, and reckless driving.
