City of Rome creates “Interpretation Advisory Committee” for N.B. Forrest Monument

The City of Rome Government –

The Rome City Commission has created a new advisory committee called the “Interpretation Advisory Committee”.

The purpose of this committee is to write the full interpretive history of General Nathan Bedford Forrest with the intention that this written history will be placed on a plaque at the site of the monument.

Once appointed, the committee will have 180 days to complete their task.

The deadline for applying is September 25, 2020.
