Three arrested in Cave Spring on drug charges

Cave Spring Police arrested three people from Hortense, Georgia on drug charges during a traffic stop at Cedartown Street and Mason Circle Monday.

39-year old Ferman Charlie Ward and 51-year old James Hugh Pittman Jr. are both charged with drug trafficking, possession of meth, and possession of meth with the intent to distribute.

Police reportedly found more than an ounce of meth during the traffic stop.

Meanwhile, 55-year old Diana Lynn Loper was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug-related objects.

She reportedly had a quantity of heroin and a syringe.

Ward was additionally charged with failure to maintain a lane and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Pittman was additionally charged with theft by receiving stolen property for having a two-way radio belonging to the Georgia State Patrol.
