Georgia Department of Transportation –
The Georgia Department of Transportation awarded Northwest Georgia Paving, Inc. a contract to resurface more than 15 miles of State Route 136 in Gordon County.
The $2.74 million project will span most of the route between U.S. Highway 41 and U.S. Highway 411. The project should get underway in the next few months, and the resurfacing should be completed in late spring of next year.
“Upon completion, this project will improve the pavement surface on State Route 136, making it safer and smoother for the public to get where they need to go in Gordon County,” said GDOT District Six Engineer Grant Waldrop.
