Bartow Suspects Arrested After Being Assaulted

June 22nd, 2020 – 4:55 PM

WBHF Radio –

(WBHF Radio) Dispatch sent a Bartow County deputy to a residence on Sioux Road near Cartersville Thursday at around 10:22 p.m. about a dispute that later revealed a burglary.

Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with both suspects (Cartersville residents 21-year-old Christopher Lamark Christian and 18-year-old Rhianna Joyce Cole) on the front porch. Christopher stated two white men tried to fight him and ended up striking Rhianna in the face with a closed fist. The deputy observed a lot of blood on Christopher. The deputy entered the house and made contact with the caller.

She stated that Christopher got into a fight with two men out in the street and Rhianna tried to step in and got hit in the face. She said she went into her home to get away from the situation. She stated about five minutes later, Christopher and Rhianna returned from a neighboring residence and begin trying to gain entrance to her residence. The deputy observed multiple places throughout the house with blood smears, including broken doors and the bathroom sink.

She stated Christopher started hitting the house and then punched a hole through the window to her room. She stated after that, Christopher was finally able to kick the front door open, breaking the bottom of the door and the frame. When Christopher gained entry into the home, he kicked and broke her bedroom door, knocking it off the bottom hinge. She stated he was talking “crazy” and indirectly threatening her.

The owner of the home stated Christopher kicked and broke his door. He stated Christopher went into his room, grabbed his throat, and choked him to the point where Christopher obstructed his breathing. The deputy observed blood on both of the owner’s arms and his pants. The owner stated Christopher told him he was “God” and would “end him” when he wanted.

Rhianna stated two men started insulting her. Christopher and the two men started arguing and it escalated into a physical altercation. She stated she tried to break it up and was hit in the face. Rhianna said the two men took off. She and Christopher returned to their residence nearby and then went back after a short amount of time. She admitted to deputies she was actively trying to get into the house with Christopher.

Christopher told another deputy on the scene that one of the men was insulting Rhianna, so they got into an argument before a physical altercation ensued. Both Christopher and Rhianna were intoxicated during this incident.

A deputy concluded that both Christopher and Rhianna went to the residence after separating themselves from the situation after a while with the intent to retaliate. Due to Christopher having cuts on his wrist and knuckles consistent with breaking a window and striking a hard surface with a closed fist, a BCSO deputy arrested him for simple assault, aggravated assault resulting in strangulation, burglary, and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

Another deputy arrested Rhianna for burglary due to her admitting she was actively trying to gain entry into the home along with Christopher.

The deputies transported Christopher and Rhianna to the jail without further incident.
