City of Rome considering substantial amendments to CDBG and action plans

CITY OF ROME

The City of Rome was informed of a special allocation of Community Development Block Grant Funds to be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19). This allocation was authorized by the CARES Act and signed into law by President Trump on March 27, 2020. The allocation is $258,026 and must be used for an eligible activity that meets all the CDBG regulations and national objectives. The City’s 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan and 2019 Action Plan are going through amendments in order to be able to access these funds for use in the community.
