Floyd County Tax Assessor’s Office deadlines during COVID-19

NEWS RELEASE

The Wednesday, April 1, 2020 deadline will remain in place when applying for homestead exemptions, real property tax returns, personal property returns, Freeport exemptions, conservation use applications/transfers, forest land protection applications, etc. Due to COVID-19, the Tax Assessor’s office is currently accepting limited walk-ins but strongly encourages submission of any/all applications/returns either by email or through the USPS. Any traditional mail must be postmarked by April 1 in order to receive consideration.

Any/all applications are available on the Georgia Department of Revenue website or by calling the Floyd County Tax Assessor’s office during normal business hours at 706-291-5143. Please be patient, as call volume has increased.  In lieu of calling, please consider using the email addresses below so there can be a record of your contact.
