Alleged white supremacist implicated in murder plot denied bond

Floyd Superior Court Judge Jack Niedrach has denied bond for a local man who authorities say was involved in a white supremacist group with plans to overthrow the government and murder a Bartow County couple.

21-year old Luke Austin Lane was arrested near his Silver Creek home on January 15 without incident and is facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and participation in the criminal gang known as “The Base.”

Two others from Georgia, 25-year old Michael John Helterbrand of Dalton and 19-year old Jacob Kaderli of Dacula, were arrested in different locations.
