Mary Saintfort – Video Reporter (WRGA News)

On this WRGA Community Spotlight, I was able to sit down and talk with Ali Booker, Executive Director of Rome Area Council for the Arts to get more information on this game-changing organization in the video below:

The Rome area council for the arts is a nonprofit organization that is based in Rome, GA that provides grants to support projects and organizations that utilizes the arts to increase economic, social, and educational awareness.

Because R.A.C.A. is a nonprofit organization, they rely on donations to continue the wonderful work that they are doing in Rome like the Rome Beer Festival, Firefly Fling and many more.

The week of February 13th the canvases will be photographed and enlarged into outdoor banners that will be installed on the side of the 3rd avenue parking deck overlooking the town green.

They will also be hosting a thank you party at the Desoto theatre that will feature dessert, drinks and a movie.

Anyone that has an event or a form of art, a class they want to take, anything that is in the scope of art is able to go on their website and submit a grant request where a board committee will look over the request and the specifications of the request and see how they can aid financially.

You can contact Rome Area Council for the Arts by email [email protected], or by visiting their website at www.romearts.org
