Sandy Weaver

Sandy Weaver is a natural performer, whether the venue is radio, television or stage. Always comfortable in front of a crowd, she dreamed of starring in movies when she was in school, and after graduation, landed a starring role of another sort: radio. From her first job at WDAK in Columbus, GA to moving up to the major markets took less than 2 years. She worked at WRKO, Boston, WRQX, WAVA and WMZQ in Washington DC and WPCH/WLTM, WKHX and WYAY in Atlanta, GA.

Along the way, Sandy garnered a few awards and won ratings race after race. Her warm, approachable style makes listeners feel as though they’re sitting with a friend, enjoying a chat. A country music fan, Sandy’s show includes insider stories on the artists and songs that country fans can’t get enough of, with a smattering of lifestyle content. But, the focus is on country music.

In her personal life, she and her husband Bob have been married nearly 25 years and share their home with Siberian Huskies and golf clubs. The dogs have been a fixture in Sandy’s life since her late teens and have been the center of her hobbies all of her adult life. Whether in the conformation ring, the obedience ring, the agility ring or in the canine musical freestyle, you can find her training and competing many times throughout the year. Hiking the north Georgia mountains to earn working titles on the dogs is a winter activity that she enjoys with friends, and she’s learning to play golf. Bob, an IBM financial analyst and planner, has played for all of his adult life and is a very patient teacher and playing partner.
