Two Centre Residents Arrested on Drug Charges Wednesday Night

Two Cherokee County residents were arrested on drug charges Wednesday night.
 
James Bobby Tucker, age 40, and Kimberly Ranee Merrell, age 31, both of Centre, were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
 
Merrell was additionally charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Burglary 3rd Degree.
 
Both were booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center around 11:00pm.
 
Bond for Tucker has been set at $3,000 while bond for Merrell has yet to be set.
The company has now substantially completed closure construction activities for seven ash ponds at Plants Hammond, Branch, Kraft, McDonough and Yates.
