Who Has Changed My Life for Judy Gaddis

Mar 15, 2013 -- 8:58am

I want to nominate my mom Judy Gaddis as a person who has changed my life. She is one of the most giving and caring people that I know. A few years ago I had the unfortunate circumstances of going through a pretty tough divorce. Around about that same time I was beginning my dreams of starting medical school training in hopes of becoming a doctor in the future. I had two kids at that time that lived with me, and my mom and dad both welcomed me back into their home so that I could get my medical school training done. It was tough going home when you are nearly 30 years old, but my mom welcomed me back home with open arms. She helped me to care for my children during the long hours of studying through school and patted me on the back and pushed me to become the person that she knew I was on the inside. She spent countless hours just sitting and listening to me and being my therapist, my mother, and my best friend. Her and my dad rarely if ever get to take a vacation due to their financial situation, and I really cant remember a time that they took the money and the time for themselves without having a car load of kids with them. I think this would be a very good thing for them and their marriage.

I am currently a fully licensed physician serving my country with VMFA ( F-18 squadron) 115 “ The Silver Eagles” a Marine Corps fighter/attack squadron as their Flight Surgeon. I can truly say Mr. Moby, that I may be partial, but I truly have the best mother on earth who pushed me to achieve my dreams and become the man I am today.

Very Respectfully, LT Chadwick W Gaddis VMFA 115
