Assail Rome’s Trails November 3 & 4

Nov 3, 2012 - Nov 4, 2012

If you are looking for a challenge, look no further! Join RACE Rome, Rome Orthopaedic Center and Cycle Therapy for ‘Assail The Trails’ mountain bike races on November 3 & 4 at Jackson Hill and Berry College. Proceeds benefit Summit Quest Adventures and United Way of Rome/Floyd County.

Saturday’s race at Jackson Hill offers a 3 mile fun ride for children 12 & under, a 6 mile race for 13 – 15 year-olds and adult first-timers, and a 12 mile race for those 16 years and older. The 12 mile multi-lap course is full of challenging single track, wood bridges and cliff lines. Prepare for some tough terrain! Faster speeds increase the difficulty of this course, but it is easy enough for the first-time adult racer. The registration fee is $20 until 10/21 and $30 after.

Sunday’s race features 11 and 25 mile options on primitive dirt roads at Berry College, the world’s largest college campus. The course is challenging, but the views are spectacular! Racers must be at least 16 years-old unless prior approval is granted. Registration is $40 until 10/21 and $60 after.
